Biography

I’m Dr. Herby Bell. I was born in the spring of 1954 in Staunton, Virginia. I practiced chiropractic for 25 years. Through the years I have enthusiastically pursued my studies in the psychological and spiritual considerations in muscular-skeletal health and mind-body-spirit fitness. Becoming certified as a practicing Ontological Coach is a natural and most complementary addition to my work-life-balance.

In my evolution and coming to further understand and honor my own way of being, I find myself living the life of my dreams, here and now.

My home is in Capitola, California where my coaching practice overlooks the magnificent Monterey Bay. I have a surfing practice and relationship with the ocean that is a privleged way of life. I am the proud father of three sons, Tyler, Jordan and Cameron. I have a keen interest in men’s issues and have been a member/facilitator in groups for the last 16 years.

I was married in 1978 and divorced in 1998. I have been in the recovery community since 1986. I have a beautiful loving relationship with my wife Myra. We love our dog Tory and our cat 'TT'.

My life is like a prayer necklace with many beads of joy and many beads of sorrow. The balance is where I live my life, loving my family, my work and my community; All my relations. I am extremely grateful for all that has occurred in my life to give rise to all that I am and am learning to be.
